Advancing research to improve outcomes for cancer survivors and their families

“A cancer survivor is a person who has had a cancer diagnosis, or has experienced cancer in some way.”

Pan-Canadian Framework for Cancer Survivorship Research, 2017

What is cancer survivorship?

Cancer survivorship encompasses a person’s path forward from the time of diagnosis. It includes a survivor’s family, friends, and caregivers whose lives have also been affected by the diagnosis.

Our Vision & Goal

An estimated 45% of all people in Canada will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. The good news is that more people are living with and beyond cancer. Our mission is to improve the physical, psycho-social, educational, and emotional experiences and outcomes of survivors and prioritize quality of care so they can thrive.
